Description

The School Safety Grant Program (SSGP) is a non-competitive, State-funded capital improvement grant program designed for local school systems located within the State of Maryland and for the Maryland School for the Blind (MSB).

Established by legislation in calendar year 2018 through the enactment of HB 1783, the SSGP provides grants to fund school safety and security improvement projects. The Maryland Center for School Safety (MCSS), in collaboration with the Interagency Commission for School Construction (IAC), will again administer the SSGP in FY2023.
