 The School Safety Grant Program (SSGP)

Description​

The School Safety Grant Program (SSGP) is a non-competitive, State-funded capital improvement grant program designed for local school systems located within the State of Maryland; as well as for the Maryland School for the Blind (MSB).

Established by legislation in c​alendar year 2018 through the enactment of HB 1783, the SSGP provides grants to fund school safety and security improvements projects. The Maryland Center for School Safety (MCSS), in collaboration with the Interagency Commission for School Construction (IAC), will again administer the SSGP in FY2023.
